I'm not sure where the Triple Crown concept started, I think it was North Van. Its pretty simple, an epic day in three parts. Typically three big climbs, three big descents. Each part significant enough to constitute an epic journey in itself. All three together, would create a worthy challenge and memorable experience for any seasoned rider.
I've never made it to the North Shore for one, apparently there are a few versions but hopefully we'll have a contingent down this summer. They do one in Nelson that is pretty unreal. Last spring an inaugural Pemberton/Mount Currie layout weighed in...and perhaps you could call it a test run but JJ called us the day before his birthday and proposed a Whistler circuit.
